Victoria’s Secret London Show 2014

Hey Guys,

Today’s post is of course about the Victoria’s Secret Show 2014, which took place in London for the first time, last night. Seeing as it was one of the most anticipated shows of the year, it comes as no surprise that it was also one of the most expensive to date too. The show itself was split into six different themes; Gilded Angels, Exotic Traveller, Fairy Tale, Dream Girl, University of Pink and Angel Ball. The catwalk included 47 models strutting their stuff and effectively making every other girl around the world envious! I’ve selected my favourites from each theme and some snapshots of the after party.

Gilded Angels

The Show - Gilded Angels

Behati Prinsloo Candice Sawnepoel Lily Aldridge

Exotic Traveller

Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio Shanina Shaik

Dream Girl

Lily Aldridge and Doutzen Kroes

University of Pink

Fairy Tale

Candice Swanepoel Lindsay Ellingson Lily Donaldson Izabel Goulart

The Finale

The Fantasy Bras Backstage

The After Party

Adriana Lima, Candace Swanepoel Doutzen Kroes Karlie Kloss Lily Aldridge

There’s no arguing that all of the Angels looked stunning, but in my opinion Candace and Lily Aldridge stole the show of the After Party!

I think I need to put down the bar of chocolate right about now!

Hope you enjoyed 🙂

Back to Black

“I’ll stop wearing black, when they invent a darker colour”

Hey Guys,

Black is one of my favourite colours to wear, I think it is so classic and timeless and a good quality black piece is always worth an investment! Never has there been a colour that is so versatile and can be worn with anything, by anyone. How many times have you struggled to find shoes / jacket to go with an outfit and ended up opting for black? If you’re anything like me, then quite often! I think black works particularly well throughout winter and in the run up to Christmas. Let’s be honest, if it’s good enough for Audrey and Coco, then it is definitely good enough for me!

Here are some of the best black pieces currently available on the high-street and online at the moment. I have a feeling this will be a recurring feature on my blog in the run up to Christmas as there are always new stylish offerings being introduced.

Top 10 Ripped Jeans

Hey Guys,

Ripped jeans are bang on trend right now and act as sufficient proof that 90s style is well and truly back in. These jeans are so versatile too; paired with a slogan tee or cami and perfectly layered with  a check shirt, loose cardigan to get the full 90’s inspired look. Double style points to the ladies who rock the double denim and throw on the ever so 90’s denim jacket.

Ripped jeans are also ideal for a more dressed up look. Paired with heels they add a funky appeal that ensure your outfit isn’t too girlie or feminine. This is perfect when you want to combine a casual and dressy look for an event that isn’t overly biased to one or the other.

Paired with a crisp white shirt and smart pumps can also ensure your outfit still packs a sophisticated punch despite the casual look of the ripped denims. This reinforces how versatile these jeans are. The level to which these jeans are ripped can also add to the versatility, let your own personal style dictate how ripped or un-ripped you wish to go.

Don’t forget to roll up the cuffs of your jeans to achieve that designer look, especially if your pairing them with heels!

As always everything is reasonably priced on Boohoo. This helps ease the guilt post shopping spree. Investing in occasion pieces for Christmas is always a great idea and styles tend not to vary too much each year. If you purchase a faux fur jacket, a sparkly dress or an extra glam blazer or jumpsuit, you’re almost guaranteed that you will get more wear out of it the following year. The trends for Christmas period always revolve around a glamorous and opulent appeal.
