Hello Beautiful People ❤
Boot season is officially upon us. I don’t know about you, but I am delighted. I love Autumn with cozy nights and layered clothing! Living in Ireland means we don’t realistically get to dress very summery due to the lack of sunshine, but when it comes to dressing for the cold weather, we Irish, we are pros! Continue reading
I have to say I’m not the biggest fan of New Year’s Eve, I like New Year’s Day as it is a second Christmas in our household. The ‘Eve’ part however just doesn’t appeal to me, but to be fair I have to acknowledge it. I’m not one for long winded, unattainable resolutions so this post will most certainly not be based on that aspect. Instead I have decided to do a quick review about my 2014, it has been an eventful year to say the least. I am going to focus on the highlights and forget about the lows as I plan on leaving them in 2014 also!
So here it goes….
Proudest Achievement of 2014: I have two (sorry I’m crap at narrowing things down) the first is graduating with a first class honours degree (victory dance) in Marketing after four years of studying. The second would be starting my blog. I’ve always wanted to do it so I’m really happy that I actually took the plunge!
Biggest Change of 2014: Finishing college and actually using my degree to get a job and becoming a grown-up (ish) Bubye retail!
Favourite Song of 2014: I’m not usually a pop music kinda girl but it would have to be ‘Rather Be’ by Clean Bandit. I just have some good memories and I always smile when I hear it! I’m also loving Uptown Funk I have been bopping around to it since it came out!
Favourite Movie of 2014: Ok I’m cheating here but the movie I was going to say was actually released late 2013 but it was my favourite and I did only watch it in 2014 🙂 So it was of course Saving Mr Banks
Favourite Style Icon of 2014: It has to be Olivia Palermo, she is so unique and elegant in her choice of clothing. The girl knows what she is doing!
Favourite Designer of 2014: It would probably have to be Victoria Beckham or Eli Saab, god I really am bad at choosing just one 😛
Favourite Holiday of 2014: Without a doubt it has to be Prague. It is such a beautiful city and I had the most amazing time there in the Summer. I would recommend it to anyone!
Favourite Buy of 2014: My baby blue pencil skirt which I got ON SALE in River Island. I can’t wait to wear it again, I really do love it!
Favourite Style of 2014: Turtle necks, I am obsessed!
Favourite Quote of 2014:
What I’m most appreciative for in 2014: It has to be the support and inspiration I have received from my amazing family, my best friends (you know who you are) and my boyfriend of course!
My Favourite advice from 2014: Burn the fancy candles and wear the expensive perfume, don’t wait for the right time.
What I learned in 2014: Do not judge anyone for any reason. Simple as. Nobody knows what is going on in anyone else’s private life. I’ve also learned not to worry about others judging me! Absolutely nobody on this planet is perfect but there will always be someone somewhere, with something to say!
My Aim for 2015: Put my plans into action and push out negative thoughts and anxiety!
I hope you all have a wonderful New Year’s Eve / Day and get to spend it with those you love. At the end of the day, that is really all that matters. Here’s to a fricken fantastic year!
Until 2015 My Loves
While I was out shopping last weekend, I spotted a few pieces that had such a designer appeal to them. As each of these pieces were such great value, I decided to share it with you all. I love Olivia Palermo’s style and I think the boots below are a great imitation, especially for the price. I would however suggest that you try on the boots before buying them. They can be quite wide around the thighs so sometimes you’re better off trying a few pairs to find you’re ideal fit! (I also am aware that ASOS is not strictly on the high street but I was being extra bold and online shopping too!)

Happy Shopping ladies 🙂
As my last few posts have been all about Fashion Week, I thought today’s post should be dedicated to the stars who graced these shows and looked flawless. From SJP to Olivia Palermo, of course the Frow was as stylish as the pieces being modelled down the catwalk.
Attending the Calvin Klein Spring 2015 show, Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted rocking this statement blue coat, a possible ode to the upcoming tailored trend. Of course SJP would have to put her own twist on this trend and opt for such a striking colour; something only she could pull off. It’s very Ms. Bradshaw and perfectly suitable for the streets of New York.
Attending the Desigual show during New York Fashion Week, Olivia Palermo looked exquisite as always in one of Desiqual’s designs. Always one to opt for something a little different and lot more fabulous, she looked completely unique and beautiful. I’m loving the cute and chic hair she chose for her look along with the clashing clutch.
One Fashion Week is clearly not enough for this style icon. Ms. Palermo effectively hopped the pond to the London shows and managed to remain equally as stylish as the previous week. She chose to go head to toe in Burberry Prorsum FW14 in a ombre lace dress, co-ordinated with a chic belted scarf to complete her look. That hair is also phenomenal! Leather on Leather was also a look she used, more than likely to keep warm in the less than fantastic London weather. She still manages to make double leather look ladylike and sophisticated, something that is not an easy task.
Two of the ultimate style icons today, completely knocked it out of the park with their Fashion Week styles. I don’t think either ever seem to put a foot wrong when it comes to selecting outfits and act as perfect inspiration for my next shopping haul.
Hope you enjoyed ladies
