Fabulous Find: NK Creative

Hey Guys,

Today I was at a small Christmas fair, getting into the festive spirit when I photo 1 (22)came across the NK Creative stall. I took some pictures to share with you all as the majority of pieces are handmade and original, making them perfect for Christmas presents. From chokers, rings and necklaces to handbags and purses, each piece includes intricate detailing that the founder herself has spent days creating! Handmade gift boxes can also be purchased to create even more of a unique appeal. The prices are also fantastic; starting from as little as €1.00, in fairness where else could you buy a unique piece of jewellery for that price!

NK Creative also takes specific orders so that she can custom make a piece to your liking; another differenciating aspect of this new little business. You will get more than just a bargain when you buy one of NK Creative‘s accessories, you will have something special that can be tailored to your preference! The majority of clothes and accessories currently available are standardised and so I personally am always on the lookout for custom made little gems like the ones in the pictures below.

My favourite purchase from today is my new ring, which cost €2 (yes only €2.00) and I absolutely love it.

In today’s society, I also think it is really brave of the founder to create her own start-up and have the courage to put herself out there. It’s never easy starting out with anything in life but I genuinely think NK Creative can only get bigger and better!

Power of the Pencil Skirt

Hey Guys,

I am a big fan of pencil skirts and I think they are perfect for a night out. I tend to opt for  a pencil skirt and top as opposed to a  dress. I think it helps elongate my body and slims my hips. Pencil skirts are not only extremely stylish, they also streamline any body shape, giving a sexy silhouette. They are perfect for nights out but also for occasions. Just invest wisely in the colour! When choosing a pencil skirt, make sure the material is thick enough to cover underwear lines and the like but not too thick that it adds bulk. At the moment I am in love with the options currently available in River Island. The faux leather material is so flattering and the placement of the pockets will actually slim the hips and help create an hourglass shape. The band around the waistline will also emphasis your curves giving the illusion of an even smaller waist.

At €40.00 they are a complete steal and will go with everything. I already have a black and baby blue one but I can see myself investing in some more colours. The skirts themselves are very flattering and are so versatile.

Ice-Queen

Hey Guys,

This weekend I had an event to attend, one which was quite difficult to assess in terms of what to wear. On one hand I didn’t want to be too over dressed but I certainly did not want to be under dressed. Anyone who knows me understands how much I love to play dress up and stick the war paint on! It would be a cardinal sin for me to turn down an opportunity to get dolled up! I wanted something different and strayed away from my usual dark colours and opted for muted, Winter pastels.

Top €6.99, Necklace €14.99, Shoes €24.99 all Newlook Pencil Skirt €18.00 River Island (on sale, WINNING!)

Aside from the statement necklace, I kept my jewellery quite simple. I just wore my watch (I always wear a watch!) my Pandora bracelet and a simple band ring I have from Links of London. I didn’t want to over do it and take away from the simplicity of the outfit.

Needless to say by the end of the day I was nearly the same colour as the skirt, thanks to the good old Irish weather, but nothing a few sneaky vodkas couldn’t fix!

Hope you enjoyed 🙂
