So it’s Monday yet again and I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Today’s post is about getting whiter teeth at home and of course on a budget!
I am a fanatic about teeth and I am on a mission to improve mine where possible. I am quite self conscious about my own teeth. You may have noticed I don’t always do a big ‘open mouthed’ smile in pictures. This is because I dislike my teeth A LOT. I am in the process of getting invisalign and I will be doing upcoming posts on my own personal experience with them, so watch this space.
As I am currently awaiting my moulds, I don’t think it’s appropriate to get my teeth whitened professionally, as soon they are going to be covered by the retainer. I do however want my teeth as white as they can be for the time being. I find a lot of ‘whitening’ toothpastes don’t actually work. To be honest I don’t think it’s possible to fully achieve the Hollywood smile from at home products especially if you’re a coffee addict like myself. I have however come across a tooth paste that has made my teeth significantly whiter and I would highly recommend it:
Beverly Hills Formula Perfect White
The only place that I can find this product is Superdrug. I go to the one in The Square, Tallaght. The toothpaste costs about €6.00 but it’s the only toothpaste that has made a real difference without being too abrasive. I have sensitive teeth but it hasn’t impacted me in that aspect at all. It’s great for anyone who doesn’t want to splash out on professional whitening but still wants brighter teeth.
Be warned the toothpaste comes out black as it contains charcoal to aid in the whitening process. This is normal, don’t feel like there is something wrong with yours!
I hope you’re all having a fabulous Monday and have kicked off the week with a positive attitude 🙂
“You can wear black at any time. You can wear it at any age. You may wear it for almost any occasion.” — Christian Dior
The LBD has long been a style staple for every girl. This is particularly true in the run up to the festive season. With numerous parties to attend, it can sometimes feel like you are running out of looks and outfits. The classic black dress is always an option that will save you any stress. It is and always will be a classic, stylish look.
There are so many different styles, shapes and looks that a black dress can create. There literally is not one woman who cannot wear a black dress and change it to her own personal style. I have chosen the Top 10 Black Dresses currently available and perfect for the party season, I have gone for a range of different styles in the hope that everyone finds something they like.

Investing in a black dress is always a smart choice in my opinion, if it is good quality you can literally have it for years. Perfect excuse to go shopping ladies!
As always I’ve been shopping online (for Christmas presents I swear!) and I have been oggling over some of the new pieces currently available from my favourite retailers. As always there is a mixture in the price range, meaning they are definitely on my Winter Wish List for this week. They are perfect for your Santa List, wink wink, nudge nudge!
Top 5 on this week’s Winter Wish List:
€60.00 River Island
€157.57 KG by Kurt Geiger
€45.00 Miss Selfridge
I’m will be keeping an eye on the latest additions to the highstreet each week and keeping you guys updated in terms of what I am falling in love with 🙂
I am a big fan of pencil skirts and I think they are perfect for a night out. I tend to opt for a pencil skirt and top as opposed to a dress. I think it helps elongate my body and slims my hips. Pencil skirts are not only extremely stylish, they also streamline any body shape, giving a sexy silhouette. They are perfect for nights out but also for occasions. Just invest wisely in the colour! When choosing a pencil skirt, make sure the material is thick enough to cover underwear lines and the like but not too thick that it adds bulk. At the moment I am in love with the options currently available in River Island. The faux leather material is so flattering and the placement of the pockets will actually slim the hips and help create an hourglass shape. The band around the waistline will also emphasis your curves giving the illusion of an even smaller waist.
At €40.00 they are a complete steal and will go with everything. I already have a black and baby blue one but I can see myself investing in some more colours. The skirts themselves are very flattering and are so versatile.
White wrap blouse, €33.00 & black turtle neck top €25.00 both River Island
Metallic €59.95 Zara, €25.95 Black €32.49 Missguided, Nude €30.00 Boohoo
“I’ll stop wearing black, when they invent a darker colour”
Black is one of my favourite colours to wear, I think it is so classic and timeless and a good quality black piece is always worth an investment! Never has there been a colour that is so versatile and can be worn with anything, by anyone. How many times have you struggled to find shoes / jacket to go with an outfit and ended up opting for black? If you’re anything like me, then quite often! I think black works particularly well throughout winter and in the run up to Christmas. Let’s be honest, if it’s good enough for Audrey and Coco, then it is definitely good enough for me!
Here are some of the best black pieces currently available on the high-street and online at the moment. I have a feeling this will be a recurring feature on my blog in the run up to Christmas as there are always new stylish offerings being introduced.
