Is anyone else still feeling the knock on effects of an over indulgent December? I always go overboard, too far overboard if I’m honest, but we’re a family of eaters so when we’re confined to one house over the festive period, it’s inevitable!
If you follow me on Instagram and Snapchat, you will know that I have been using a number of different Herbalife products over the last few months. I took a break in December from pretty much anything that’s healthy, but now I’m ready to get back on track.

Over the next few weeks, I plan to reintroduce some healthy products and habits I got into before the party season started. For me, it’s all about getting into a routine of good food and exercise. I often find it difficult when it comes to staying on track, so I’m going to reintroduce some of the Herbalife products and get myself back to working out.
I’ll be honest and say I always thought of Herbalife as meal replacements shakes for quick weightloss. When they got in touch however, I was intrigued as I never realised how vast the product range is.
As with anything, there were products that suited me and my lifestyle and ones that didn’t. I always think it’s important to acknowledge that what works for one won’t always work for another, but the products below really helped me get back to a healthier mentality (and I’m hoping will do the same going forward)
My favourite product from the range is the Chocolate Peanut Protein Bars. I generally dislike protein bars. I never like the taste or texture and generally end up feeling a bit sick afterwards. These however, were a different story! I loved them and so did my boyfriend (who doesn’t normally have a sweet tooth!) So much so, the box was gone in no time! They basically taste like a chocolate fudge bar except with 10g of protein thrown in. They stopped me reaching for the usual Galaxy or Dairymilk.
I also began taking the Aloe Vera drink each morning and this really helped my stomach. I’ve started this again in January and already I can feel the difference. You know that full, sickly feeling you get when you’ve had a few bad days or weeks diet wise? This soothes it completely! It also tastes delicious so I have this each morning before my brekkie.
Now that I am back trying to get some workouts in after an extended period of basically sitting, I’m back using the CR7 Drive drink. It gives a really good boost of energy and gives me the little kick up the bum I often need to get off the couch. It surprisingly tastes really nice (almost like a diluted blackcurrant) and I take just before a walk or workout. I’m trying to stick to one coffee a day and have banned all energy drinks, so this is a good replacement for me.
As I have really fallen off the workout wagon, I’m excited to reintroduce the Formula 1 Sport drink. I’ve been told to drink this during / after my workouts to help replenish my muscles. It’s supposed to stop your muscles feeling too sore the next day, so I’m using this to press forward and (try) lift heavier weights. Pray for me.
I did also trial out the vanilla shakes (I’m such a vanilla person!) and while I did really like the taste of them, I have found myself preferring a hot breakfast on these cold mornings. It didn’t really work for me as a substitute for breakfast, but they’re useful if you’re on the run or if you’re in between meals and still hungry. I say in between meals because lets call a spade a spade and admit I never miss my meals.
I never go full throttle at the beginning of January, it can be dreary enough as it is! Now however, I’m ready to get back in shape or as I like to call it: getting my 2016 body back! I’ve finally bitten the bullet and have taken all my measurements (it hurt my soul a little I won’t lie) but I’ve written down my goals and I’m just going to try my best.
I’ll be keeping you all updated over on Instastories (here) and if you were thinking of introducing some new products to help you stay on track, then I hope this helps!
