Hello Beautiful People,
I decided to replace my weekly ‘Confessions of a Secret Snacker’ food post for a healthy recipe today.
If you follow me on Snapchat (DayDreamerChic) you will have seen I didn’t have a great week food wise. This was mainly due to being sick. Instead of writing an uninspiring diet post, I felt it more productive to share a quick but healthy recipe instead.
What you need:
120gram ground almonds
Small handful of mixed nuts
1 tsp of baking soda
1/3 cup of melted coconut oil
5 x tbsp of Agave of Sweet Freedom Syrup (you can use maple syrup either)
Dark choc chips (I used 1/2 cup but it’s dependant on your preference)
1 tsp vanilla extract
What you do:
Preheat your oven to 180
Chop or crush the nuts
To be honest, I basically then popped all of the above into a big bowl and stirred (the lazy girl’s guide to baking!)
Using a tablespoon scoop out the mixture and place on a baking tray, patting them down into cookie shapes
Pop into the oven for approx 10-15mins
I flipped them after about 10-12 minutes to give them an extra bit of bite
Let them stand for 10 mins so that they harden
These cookies are free from refined sugar, meaning that when you have one (or two in my case) they don’t spike your sugar levels. This helps reduce cravings as the more sweet, processed food you eat, the more you crave it.
Be sure to let me know if you try them, I’d love to hear your thoughts. They didn’t last too long in our house 🙂
All My Love
