Hello Beautiful People,

How is your healthy eating going?

My food intake was quite varied last week, some days I was great and others not so much. I know exactly where I fell down too; eating out. I did try to choose the healthier option initially but as the week went on, I gradually moved to the unhealthy offerings.

An example of a ‘better’ choice and no I didn’t eat half his chips as well. Yes I did.

You will have seen over on Snapchat (DayDreamerChic) that my Cheat Day on Friday turned into a bit of a Cheat Weekend. While I am always an advocate for not ‘dieting’ at the weekend, I have been trying not to overindulge (too much) in recent weeks. For some reason though, I just couldn’t reign it in over the last few days. Today included…. Unfortunately.

I am however trying to focus on the good days and will try replicate them again this week. I started each morning with ‘Proats’ and I am really liking the My Protein brand. It’s the only protein powder that actually tastes nice and mixes well with my food and smoothies.

My favourite snack of the week was wholemeal Slimsters with almond butter and a small banana.

If I was craving something sweet (on the good days) I was eating protein pancakes with some berries and Agave syrup. It always tastes like a dessert to me.

On the bad days I was eating my body weight in chocolate (today even more so!) but we’re drawing a line under that!

From tomorrow however I am dragging myself back on that wagon and I am cutting down on how many times I eat out. It’s too difficult to count macros and to track what you’re actually consuming.

The plan for this week:

  • Hot water & lemon each day
  • Minumum of 1 cup of green tea
  • 3 litres of water a day
  • 7hrs of sleep (tiredness is causing the sugar cravings!)
  • My Fitness Pal to be used every day
  • 1 meal out (likely to be the weekend)

I’m not going to let a bad weekend and a bad start to Monday turn into an unhealthy week. I’m ready to get my head back in the game!

I’ll be back using Instagram as a food diary this week and I’ll also be updating you all on Snapchat. Don’t forget to let me know how you’re getting on.

All My Love

Z x
