Hello Beautiful People,
I hope you’re all having a lovely week so far?
I want to start by saying that I know the title sounds a little preachy (it’s a word!) but it’s not that kind of post.
I just wanted to share with you some things I’ve found that have helped me stay positive. We all have our down days and if we don’t do something about it, they can turn into down weeks. I’m such a believer in mindset being one of the most powerful things in life, so it’s important to keep it positive.
Here are 5 things I’ve started doing each week that have made all the difference.
1. Have a day off – I know it’s not always possible to have a day of ‘doing nothing’ but maybe it can be a day of doing less. I’m talking no makeup, comfy clothes, no workouts. Just a day to give yourself a break. We all need downtime, its key to reviving the mind!
2.Spend time with family – I know as an only child, I’m more inclined to be close to my family, but a lot can be said for spending time with those who matter most. Nothing cheers me up more than catching up with family and knowing you can relax and just be yourself.
3.Cook Good Food – I’m not saying we need to slave away in the kitchen all week. Homemade, wholesome food makes all the difference to your health. It’s easy to grab processed food and I’m as guilty of it as anyone, but making something nutritious actually puts you in a great mindset and encourages you to eat well.
4.Do Something Nice for Something – It’s a cliche I know, but I’m not on about grand gestures. Doing or saying something that cheers someone up can only be beneficial. There’s a lot to be said for putting good energy out into the atmosphere. Who knows, they may repay you the favour when you need it most.
5.Do Something Spontaneous – I’m that person who loves to have a plan, to be organised. I have however, started saying yes (where possible) to impromptu invitations. Nothing drastic, but just little, unexpected things. Sometimes it’s good to shake it up.
I know none of the above is ground breaking and I know people may already do these things. I just thought I would share for anyone else who, like me, may just need a little bit of a boost from time to time.
Ive really noticed a difference in my mindset since introducing the above into my weekly routines. I hope you do too ❤
