Hello Beautiful People,
I hope your healthy eating is going well?
I was eating moderately well for the latter half of last week. I did however give myself a bit of a kick up the bum on Sat. After eating my way through Friday, I was ready for some clean eating over the weekend!
I plan to keep this going and have a really healthy week this time around. I’m snacking on Lindt dark choc with some berries to (try) curb my sweet tooth.
I’m also eating homemade protein bars if I feel hungry between meals (recipe here) I’m basically trying to ensure I stay full. When I’m hungry I just don’t care what I eat, so trying to avoid that situation!
My main focus for this week is write down everything I eat. I’m normally too lazy to do this, but it really does alter your mindset. It also allows me to see where I need to improve and where it is I’m falling off the wagon.
No I didn’t need to buy a new notebook, but this one has sections which will be perfect for writing in each meal….
I am also adding more juices and smoothies into my diet this week. I really need to up my intake of fruit and veg, so for me, this is just the easiest way to do it!
I’m in no way replacing any meals with juices or smoothies though. Quick fixes and meal replacements just don’t work for me, so I’m still eating my regular amount and adding these in!
I’m cutting out any fizzy drinks, which won’t be too difficult to be honest. I’m aiming for 3 litres of water a day and I’m bidding farewell to alcohol for a while! Everything else, I’ll have in moderation. Cutting out food groups always leaves me craving them more. It can also result in food intolerences being developed, which is just unnecessary.
