Hello Beautiful People,

Today’s post is a beauty one!

As a lover of makeup, I do of course enjoy the application process. What I don’t enjoy however, is having to reapply when I’m out. This is not because I’m ‘low maintenance’ it’s mainly because I’m lazy.

When you’re out or at some sort of event, the last thing you want to do is spend ages in the bathroom, topping up your makeup. In the same sense it’s not exactly ideal to catch sight of yourself looking like a sweaty panda during a quick run to the loo. Worse yet, in the pictures the next day, let the de-tagging commence! haha

Due to past experience with this ‘panda’ look, I’ve come to love (and trust) a few particular products. Ones that prevent me getting a fright when I look in the mirror!

Foundation: Estee Double Wear

Concealer: Makeup Forever HD  with some NYX glow stick dabbed directly under the eye.

Powder: To set my concealer I’ve actually been using Smashbox’s highlight powder as it’s matte.

Contour: Sleek contour palette or the Smashbox palette.

Blush: I love Nars but I’m also a big fan of Catrice & Sleek.

Eyeshadow:  I always think the Naked Palettes from Urban Decay have great staying power. I think a lot of it is to do with the brush too, it’s great for almost pressing the shadow onto your eyelids.

Photography, Smokey Eye, Eyeshadow, Makeup, Inspiration, Irish Blogger, Urban DecayLipstick: I do still believe Mac is the longest lasting if applied correctly. Catrice is also a great dupe for the Mac liners.

I also don’t usually wear false eyelashes, mine are quite long but they are a bit thin, so when I want a fuller look, I swear by the Penny’s lashes. They’re so easy to apply and always stay on without any issue!

I think one of the most important aspects of ensuring your makeup lasts as long as possible, is to not apply too much. I know that sounds a bit contradictory, but layers of foundation and concealer can be too heavy on your skin. Too much blusher is also just  not a good look for anyone! (haha)

If anyone else has any recommendations or has tried any of the above products, be sure to let me know 🙂

All My Love
