How did your healthy eating go last week?
I’ve mixed feelings about mine. Some days were great, others, well others, lets just say all the carbs were consumed. I ate out more than usual, which is likely to be the main reasoning behind one too many over indulgences. If I’m honest, I don’t really regret it as I had a fantastic weekend!
Here’s a look at some of the food I’ve been munching on this week….
Has anyone else tried this dark chocolate from Lindt? Amazing! I’m conscious it’s not ‘clean’ but it definitely curbs the cravings!
My all time favourite green tea – it’s available in SuperValu & Avoca 🙂
Smoothie: Mango, Banana & Alpro Soya Almond Yogurt plus my green tea (lemon actually speeds up and maximises the effects of green tea)
Although Friday was my cheat day, Saturday resulted in an Eddie Rockets. Life’s too short to not enjoy yourself when eating out.
Sunday brunch also resulted in more sweet potato fries… It was a good day all round!
I did however manage to get some goodness into me over the course of the weekend with a ‘Superfood Salad’ from Vanilla Pod (which is becoming one of my favourite places!)
Sunday evening was spent catching up with family. My aunty always brings some Russian sweets, which I of course love. The croissants & cookies weren’t too bad either! (face palm to the forehead!)
In the past I’ve always caved by week 3 so I think by focusing on the good, I’m ready to tackle week 4 and not give up! I’ve maintained the no alcohol aspect and also made green tea a perminent fixture in my everyday diet. I’ve also been trying to get out and get some fresh air, it’s good for the body, but most importantly the mind!
