Confessions of a Secret Snacker: Bikini Body Week 2

Hello Beautiful People,

How is the bikini bod coming along?

I am on week 2 and while it wasn’t perfect, it was an improvement on my previous eating habits. I feel like I’m (finally) getting back into this healthy eating malarky!

My typical Monday to Friday diet has looked something a little like this….

Snack: Apple (for the commute)

Breakfast: Porridge with berries &ย Alpo Soyaย milk

Snack: Banana

Lunch: Brown rice, chicken breast & Frank’s Hot Sauceย or veggie falafel with wholemeal pasta

Snack: Popcorn (not ideal I know, but it’s our 3pm tradition in work)

Dinner: Salmon with veg and either wholemeal pasta / rice, depending on what I had for lunch (I usually try alternate)

Snack: I’ve been trying to switch to dark choc, but the odd chocolate hob nob has slipped in here and there.

I know this probably seems like a lot of food, but I do work long hours and need to stay full – thankfully I don’t count calories!

At the weekend, when I actually had time to make breakfast, I opted for my favourite: eggs, wholemeal toast & avocado.

Friday was very calorific from a three course meal in The Marker with a few glasses of wine thrown in, I’m not even going to try calculate my macros! As I don’t drink too often, those few glasses of wine left me feeling a little less than fantastic on Saturday. I’m not going to lie, I did have a sneaky Nandos followed by some choc! Usually if I’m in any way hungover, I eat everything, so I tried to reign it in for this week and just have one or two treats!

I ate well on Sunday to try counteract Friday & Sat! ๐Ÿ™‚

This week, I’m going to try swap one of my snacks for a small handful of nuts (my sugar intake is a little high due to the fruit – no, not the hobnobs ๐Ÿ˜› )

I’m also aiming for:

  • 2.5 litres of water a day
  • 3 x workouts
  • 1 x coffee per day
  • 1 – 2 cups of green tea
  • 7hrs of sleep (it really does make a difference!)
  • No chocolate hobnobs – aggggghhhhhh!

I’m trying to make little changes each week as opposed to going full throttle on a gruelling detox. I never stick to them and I just LOVE my food too much.
