Hello Beautiful People,
I hope you’ve been eating healthier than me? Realistically this wouldn’t have been too hard!
I’d like to open my defence with the fact that it was not only my birthday, but my Mam’s too and also St Patrick’s Day. Don’t judge me. If you follow me on Snapchat then you probably already do judge me….
If you read my birthday post; Turning 25…. then you will have seen that we had a bit of a sugar overload for the week. The excuse ‘It’s my birthday’ was used a tad too frequently in hindsight.
I genuinely think that if I was to faint, waiving a lemon French Fancy under my nose would bring me round!
My meals were relatively ok (except for the hangover days) it was just the fact that I felt the need to consume 10,000 calories in the form of chocolate each day.
My name’s Zoe and I’m a chocoholic.
By the time Friday came around, I had no more birthdays or bank holidays left and so three boxes of French Fancies and three birthday cakes later, I decided to cut the excuses. For me personally I find weekends a tough time to eat healthily anyway so decided Monday would be D-Day and enjoyed my weekend, probably a bit too much.
I always regret overeating after a few days or in this case a week. It’s genuinely not worth it! From headaches to just generally feeling like a bit of a heffalump, I was looking forward to getting back on the wagon.
In saying that, a week off here and there isn’t the end of the world. Yes it is tough getting back on track, but I enjoyed my birthday and a few nights out. I’m all about this balance thing after all 🙂
I did some healthy food shopping on Sunday in preparation for the week ahead – Lidl & Aldi are great for salads and fruit!
As always I will keep my Snapchat and Instagram (DayDreamerChic) updated with food related posts. My main focus is to not let my self get hungry, so I will be eating plenty, but hopefully it will all be good food!
Here’s to a Healthy & Happy week,
All My Love
