In last week’s Confessions of a Secret Snacker (here) I mentioned that I had taken the weekend off from exercise and healthy eating. I can honestly say what a difference it made. I was exhausted and just needed to relax and that I did! By the time Monday came around, I was rested and ready to rock.
Healthy Breakfast: Protein Pancakes with Fruit & Soya Yogurt
I ate really well Monday through to Thursday, allowing myself a single piece of chocolate each evening to avoid binging. I did have two pieces on Wednesday with it being hump day and all – the scandal! Friday was of course cheat day and you will have seen on my Snapchat (DayDreamerChic) that I certainly did not waste it! I was not thanking myself come Saturday when I was still in a food coma. Worth. Every. Bite.
I’ve been testing out these HIRO options out for a quick & easy lunch when I don’t have time to food prep – I like the Chicken Ramen Soup the best & it’s only 108 cals.
I got back to healthy eating on Sat and allowed myself some sweet treats on Sunday while with the family (we don’t diet on Sundays in our house!) Overall I lost 3lbs and I was pretty happy that my hard work had paid off.

I’ve also been snacking on Pink Lady apples (my favourites!) with some Alpro Soya Vanilla Dessert and also some Healthy Banana Bread. I posted the recipe yesterday & you can read it here.
I’m unsure if I will continue weighing myself, I don’t want to become too obsessive. I will see how I feel on Friday which is my usual weigh day. I don’t want to get too caught up in what the scales say. I prefer to go by how I look and feel and don’t want to get disheartened if the numbers don’t go in my favour. Life is about balance so maybe I will, maybe I won’t! 🙂
