Afternoon Tea with Retro Flame at The Glenlo Abbey Hotel

I hope you’re having a lovely day? Last weekend I attended an event with the Into the West Blogging Network at The Glenlo Abbey Hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful and was the perfect setting for such a girlie afternoon full of tea, chats and sugar in abundance.

The wonderful Erika Fox of Retro Flame also talked us through her blogging journey and how she has achieved such success. It was such an inspiration to see an Irish girl who has worked her ass off to get to where she is today and who still seems like a normal Kerry girl at heart. I for one thoroughly enjoyed listening to her advice and the recap of her early blogging days. There were definitely some pointers I am going to put into practice in the coming weeks. If they’re good enough for Ms Fox, they are certainly  good enough for me.

Of course it wouldn’t be Afternoon Tea without some actual tea and thankfully we were treated to some lovely offerings from Solaris Tea. I’m not a lover of green tea as you all know, but the flavours provided were delicious. I can see myself investing in some more over the coming weeks.

So many wonderful brands provided us with some lovely gifts – there is a sneak peak below and I will be doing a full run through of all the items in the goodiebags over on Snapchat this week (username: daydreamerchic) We were definitely spoilt!

Sinead (http://yummymummy.eu.com/) and Saibh (https://saibhegan.wordpress.com/) if you’re reading this then I take my hat off to you both for such a great day ❤

We were aptly seated at the Coco Chanel table – almost as if they knew she was my all time favourite!

Afternoon Tea however was such an easy going day. Everyone was so kind and approachable. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so relaxed at an event before. I got to meet some genuinely lovely people and we just spent the day chatting and giggling away.

My outfit was quickly changed after a bit of a wardrobe malfunction just before we left our hotel – how do these things always happen to me?! So my #ootd was definitely not my first choice, but luckily I brought a back up!

I’m excited now for the next event and can’t wait to see everyone again. One major plus is that I will hopefully be brace free by the time the next event comes around!

All My Love
