Life – You Get What You Put In

Hello Beautiful People ❤

Today’s post is a little different…

Have you ever had something unexpected resonate with you? Something you didn’t realise could throw you off quite so much. I’m not trying to be cryptic here, I honestly am not a fan of those type of posts. I’m really not all that aloof! It’s just the nitty gritty is actually not that relevant.

I may sound naive but I always believed that most people deserved a happy ending, especially if they didn’t have the greatest start to life. I know this doesn’t always happen, I’m not that naive, but I think I tend to hope or assume that things will work out in the end, for most of us anyway.

This used to be one of my favourite quotes:

anxiety, depression, irish blogger, future, life quotes, positivity, inspiration

In light of a lot of things happening around us though, I don’t know how I feel about it any more. We are not necessarily given a ‘Happy Ending’ – unfortunately. There is nothing worth having in this life that just gets handed to us for nothing. Despite the fact that I used to (try) believe good things happen to good people and things always work out, I’m not quite sure any more. I’m not being negative here, I’m actually trying to make the point that we have to work to get and earn our happy ending.

Yes some people get dealt a better card than others, however it’s what we actually do as we get older that lays the foundation for this coveted Happy Ever After.

As I’ve got older, I now believe that we can’t always blame the circumstances and the actions of others. We now have to make changes to improve our lives ourselves.

Don’t get me wrong, it is so much easier for me to type this than it is for me or anybody else to follow through on it. I think a big factor in this is the lack of help people often get to help them deal with issues and their past (I have included a few links at the end of this post which may be able to help anyone who needs it) Without help many people fall into a downward spiral and don’t get to live the life they deserve.

At the end of the day, we get one life. We have to make the most of it and let go of the bad things that can’t be undone.

This post isn’t about being negative, it’s about realising we have to be proactive and do what we want with our lives. It’s not up to anyone else but ourselves to make our lives as good as they can possibly be!

 All My Love
