DIY Facemask for Clear Skin

So as I’ve said before, I love finding home made options to use on your skin and hair. I am often weary of products that contain a lot of chemicals, even the ones who claim to be natural. There are of course a few exceptions, Boots Botanics range for example! Anyway I was searching the internet for some natural remedies and came across this face mask from EasyRoots : Cinnamon & Honey Mask

At first I was unsure as to why this random combination would be of benefit to your skin. I know honey acts  as a natural antibiotic but I’ve never heard of using cinnamon before. According to EasyRoots however cinnamon also has antimicrobial properties. In ordinary English that means it can stop bacteria from thriving and can deter it from spreading. This means this mask is beneficial to those with blemishes and or breakouts. It will help clear any bacteria present on the skin. It’s so easy to whip up as well!

You will need:

  •  2 tbsp of honeycinnamonhoney
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1 paper towel/cloth (the mixture is quite sticky!)

Mix together the cinnamon and honey until they form a light paste. Apply the mask onto freshly washed and dried skin and leave for 10-15 minutes. Rinse off completely and voila your done. Quick and easy!

Hope you enjoy 🙂 x
