Home-made Remedies for Clear Skin

I generally don’t suffer with overly bad skin and I am lucky in that respect however I do get breakouts and they drive me mad! There are so many different products currently available in-store but I find them all quite harsh on my skin. In particular I would avoid anything that has a lot of chemicals and ingredients that claim to clear your skin. These products can end up damaging your skin in the long run and can strip essential oils from your face. I prefer to opt for natural products when I can
but there isn’t always many options available, so I went investigating for a home remedy that is natural, organic and gentle on my skin.

I came across a great remedy from Everyday Roots which is so simple and quick to use whilst also being kind to the skin. It is perhaps a little drying but nothing a good moisturizer can’t sort out.

For this remedy: Mix together 2tsp of organic Apple Cider Vinegar,
6tspphoto (21) of water and apply to freshly washed and dried skin. Use cotton wool to dab it on the area that has the breakout/blemishes and leave for 10mins. Rinse off.

Apple Cider vinegar kills off bacteria. It becomes alkaline and this in turn then balances the PH of your skin. This makes it harder for the bacteria to grow and spread. This mixture also dries out excess oil which reduces the frequency of breakouts. As previously mentioned though, don’t over do it as drying out your skin too much also isn’t healthy. Invest in a good moisturizer and apply it about an hour after using this remedy.

I started using this remedy about two days ago and I have already noticed a difference. I am going to apply it every 2nd day and will keep you guys posted 🙂 x
